Or to erase whatever progress you've made and re-do the thing. I know I get too obsessed with continuing whatever I've already written in the drafts. But not everything was well-written, and I need to be more willing to let go. This is a form of courage too, as a continuation to my previous post.
I'll keep this short: it's almost 1am here. I've been reading a bunch of short essays by some great american authors (Octavia Butler, Akiko Busch), and their concise language is so admirable to me. I can't help it sometimes, I feel this strong urge to justify everything I say, to give it depth. In fact I'm doing it right now. But like many things in life, less can be more. Less is more.
